dream,” said Richardson. “On this compilation,
we’ve focused on a handful of the more emotional

About Friday Night
Lights (Fridays on NBC, 8-9 p.m. ET/PT)
Expanding on the hit feature film and
best-selling book "Friday Night Lights," the
award-winning show centers on life in Dillon,
Texas, where high school football brings the
community together - and the drama of small town
life threatens to tear it apart.
As season four opens, a redistricting plan has
left Dillon a town divided. Having been ousted
from his role as head coach at Dillon High
School, Coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) finds
himself faced with the daunting task of building
a football team from scratch as well as
motivating and disciplining the unmanageable
East Dillon Lions players. Tensions follow Coach
Taylor off the field and into the home as he and
Tami (Connie Britton), who remains Principal of
West Dillon High, find themselves increasingly
at odds with one another and the adversarial
roles the redistricting has forced upon them. As
one of the main proponents of redistricting
Dillon, Tami bears the brunt of criticism from
the very unhappy parents and students who have
been zoned out of West Dillon and into the less
desirable East Dillon. Season four regulars also
include characters Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch),
Julie Taylor (Aimee Teegarden), Landry Clark
(Jesse Plemons), Vince, Jess (Jurnee Smollett),
and Luke (Matt Lauria).
Season after season, "Friday Night Lights" is
hailed as one of the top ten shows by numerous
publications such as Time magazine,
Entertainment Weekly, The New York Times and TV
Guide. "Friday Night Lights" also has been
honored three times (2006/2007/2009) as an
American Film Institute (AFI) Television Program
of the Year, received the prestigious George
Foster Peabody Award in 2006 and won an Emmy
Award for Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series
in 2007.
The series is executive-produced by Peter Berg
(the film "Friday Night Lights," "Hancock"), who
also wrote and directed the pilot, Jason Katims
("Parenthood"), Brian Grazer ("Frost/Nixon,"
"The Da Vinci Code"), David Nevins ("Arrested
Development") and Sarah Aubrey ("Trauma").
"Friday Night Lights" is a production of
Universal Media Studios, Imagine Entertainment
and Film 44.
